Shannon averaged 13.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.2 blocked shots and 3.1 assists a game as a junior at Marysville High School near Seattle. He earned Washington 4A Player of the Week honors once, along with Second Team All-Wesco honors after the season.A couple of good articles on this, one is a nice short bio on Montana State's website.
The best information on all of this, unsurprisingly, comes from Gidal over at Blue & Gold. He has background, interviews with Coach Huse, Ryan Shannon, and Shannon's current high school coach. A quote from Shannon:
“I’m excited to get it done with (and) I’m really excited to be a part of the Bobcats program. They have a lot to offer, and I think that … I’ll be able to go in there, learn a lot and hopefully get some decent amount of time my freshman year.”He looks to be a very nice addition for the Bobcats.
