Well, today is the day I turn a quarter century.
God has blessed my life in many ways... I have an amazing and supportive wife in Mrs. Bigskybball, a loving family, a day job that I like, and a hobby that I love.
Through that hobby, I've gotten to meet a few coaches, a few newspaper guys/bloggers, and interacted with hundreds of great Big Sky fans (who have almost entirely been very friendly and great to interact with). It has been a great ride for the first 7ish months of the blog, and I hope and expect the rest of this blog's lifespan to be similarly excellent.
So just wanted to say thanks to all the readers, coaches, and everyone else that makes this so fun.
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. "

A quarter century ago (1987) in the Big Sky Conference men's basketball, Idaho State won the Big Sky tourney in an upset and played UNLV in the first round of the NCAA tourney. ISU's last NCAA tourney appearance.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog and happy birthday.
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jon and thank you for all of your articles. Let's hope Idaho State can get in that NCAA tourney again this year, even though it is a long shot!
