Northern Arizona Recruit Ako Kaluna Shatters The Backboard

Northern Arizona recruit Ako Kaluna is strong. Very strong. If you want to see proof, watch #12 on the video... Kaluna gets the ball on a putback and powers it through, taking down the rim and shattering the backboard in the process.



The crazy part (or, the crazier part), comes from this nugget from the LA Times:

The powerful Kaluna broke a rim at West Ranch last year, and the school has ordered more than one rim in case his strength comes into play again.

He shattered the backboard, and it wasn't even his first experience doing this. He is averaging 19.3 points and 14.7 rebounds per game this season, and at this point looks like an absolute steal for head coach Jack Murphy.
